Moon Ribas is a cyborg activist and artist has implants connected to online seismographs in her feet. Any time there’s an earthquake somewhere on the planet, vibrations course through her body and the data is recorded online. Ribas then use these data’s elements of spontaneity and uncertainty, and transform them into dance and music. Ribas hopes to empower artists around the world to embrace new forms of technology to enhance their bodies and their work, and discover new ways to communicate that we cannot perceive with our senses.

Analysis/Reflection:

Ribas shows us how important it is to live with the environment around us, as she emerged with nature and turned that into art and music. Ribas also encourages us and tells us that it is okay to rely on technology and how this reliance can open our perspective to new options and aspects in life.
