SoleBond- Focus Conjecture

This is a conjecture for reducing the amount of pollution from shoe production and shoe disposal. Besides material manufacturing a huge problem with shoes is what is holding it all together…. glue. Shoe soles are bound to the uppers with glue, which when sitting in a landfill is extremely harmful for the environment. SoleBond is an adaptive latching system designed for interchangeable soles. Everyone has their favorite pair of shoes, now imagine if you can put any type of sole on the bottom of your uppers for your specific need. The latches allow for a tight secure fit while also being easy to change in and out of your different soles. By negating the need for a permanent bond to a sole, it allows for customization of what upper you want to wear with what sole. The choice is completely up to the user.
