My conjecture is inspired by the spending analysis that Huntington currently has for its users, as seen in the image to the left.
What if Huntington provided simple budgeting plans that users could choose at the start of their month? Users could choose how much they would like to save this month based on personalized estimates. Even if users did not meet their budgeting plan, they would at least be referencing their app more often and be able to keep themselves accountable for going over their monthly budget. There is opportunity to use design to intrinsically motivate its users when they accomplish their monthly plan, or use negative motivators when they do not meet their plan.
