The ACM awards will be hosted in Nashville, Tennessee on September 16 this year. Mickey Guyton will be performing during the show with the likes of many other country superstars. What makes this performance special is that is involves Well’s Fargo donating $100,000 to Feeding America, a national food distributor to Food Banks. This is estimated to help provide 50 million meals to food insecure households.
The song Mickey Guyton is performing is more about social issues of feminism than food insecurity. I’m not entirely sure why Well’s Fargo decided to align their donation with this song, but good for them. An important aspect of my research should be where this money is going to.
