Science&Tech Conjecture: Livestream Studio Time

It is difficult to separate art from technology nowadays: even if an artist uses “traditional” media like paint, they still might rely heavily on social media to share their work. The insurgence of live streaming usage during the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed artists of all kinds share their process, perform, practice, or just chat to followers whenever they wish.

This conjecture thinks about pairing live streaming with physical space. Livestream Studio Time would be a serious of permanent “screens” placed around the Short North, with projections of artists from around the city working on their art. Artists could sign up for a slot online, and simply connect to the Short North’s streaming server to be “live” with whoever passes by.
