“New research from Zendrive has found that Americans use their phones nearly every single time they get behind the wheel. Our top finding shows that drivers used their phones during 88-percent of the 570-million trips analyzed.”

My Take: This shocking stat (88%) truly reveals how big of an issue phone use is behind the wheel. Almost every driver on the road is using their phone. Regardless of lengths of time, this is extremely dangerous. My biggest takeaway from this research is that people refuse to put their phones down regardless of the risks associated. It has gotten to the point where it feels futile to try preventing phone use, but there is a need to focus on making it safe where drivers can accomplish all they want to with their phones without losing focus on driving.
