Design Conjecture: Frunk-Fix-Kit

This conjecture was inspired by the article High-Tech Cars Might Be More Trouble Than They’re Worth From SciAm. The article goes into detail about the new age of car design with its abundance of features and technology implements, and the pros and cons of the user experience that come with these new features.

One of the major flaws of these high-tech cars is that repairs become increasingly common, and more expensive. Many places don’t carry the necessary tools needed to fix these model-specific problems, which leads to cars that break faster and become outdated quicker. My conjecture aims to address this problem by providing the user with everything they need to fix the car themselves, since the manufacturers don’t seem to want to fix their own cars. By pulling up on the handle from the bottom of the frunk, the user can access drawers containing all of the tools needed to address their cars frequent problems. This also opens a larger storage space for other tools or devices.
