I was thinking about how a device could attach to the ear, and this product caught my attention as something worth exploring further. After reading through the customer reviews, a lot of people mentioned their ears hurt when using regular earbuds, but with this one, it’s a perfect fit and super comfortable. I can relate because I’ve always had trouble with regular earbuds hurting my ears too. That got me thinking: Could we design medical devices that are subtle, comfortable, and not too obvious to others? This way, people wearing them wouldn’t feel singled out or different.
Plus, the way these earbuds are designed could be really useful for medical drug delivery devices. If we take inspiration from how they fit comfortably and go unnoticed, we might be able to create something that delivers medication over time without causing discomfort or drawing attention. It could be a real win for people who need ongoing treatment but don’t want to feel like they’re wearing a medical device all the time.
