“What a Loving, and Beautiful World” is an interactive projection designed by TeamLab collaborated with the Palace Museum and Tencent.
The projection creates a world with elements in traditional poems. When people stand near the characters, the worlds that the characters embody will appear, influencing one another to create a single world.
The elements that are born from the characters are placed at various positions within the space, and the physical influences and connections between them produce a single world. For example, when the wind blows, flowers and snow are physically fly away. Birds alight in trees, and butterflies are attracted to flowers. Just as in nature, what you see at this moment can never be seen again.
TeamLab are an interdisciplinary group of professional artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects, that aim to explore a new borderless relationship between humans and nature, and between oneself and the world through art by navigating the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world.
Analysis:
The immersive experience is very impressive. It could help the viewers to evoke cultural memory. Different traditional cultures may fit with different forms of expression. Creating an immersive poetry world can help the viewers to understand the poems’ beauty of the abstract.
