Autism is usually misunderstood due to inaccurate stereotypes. Through this immersive video experience, viewers will be able to gain a better understanding of what it is like to have Autism. This simulation lets viewers experience what it would be like to play and participate in sports when you have Autism. Viewers will watch a video through the eyes of a child with Autism trying to participate in sports in a loud and overwhelming school gym. The video would portray the challenges children with Autism face, such as sensory issues, difficulty focusing or socializing, and difficulty understanding rules of a sport. By using a familiar and relatable setting like a school gym, we will be able to fully immerse viewers in an honest portrayal of one child’s experience with Autism. This experience would also raise awareness for Autism and could potentially be used as an educational tool.
