With Technology Will Save Us’ new interactive learning kits based on conductive dough, kids can mould working musical instruments and robots. Its latest kits, called Dough Universe, are designed to bring kids’ play-dough creations to life with sound, movement and lights.

The Complete Dough Universe gets kids building with dough and making simple circuits to add light, sound, and motion to their creations. The Complete Pack is all three kits – Bright Creatures, Electro Machines, and Techno Sounds – plus the interactive storybook app to keep kids exploring and playing for months to come.

“Sixty-five percent of children currently in primary school will have jobs that don’t yet exist,” said Koby, CEO of Tech Will Save Us. “We believe that kids deserve toys, which will provide them with the skills that will help prepare them for the future.”

“We hope that the Dough Universe will inspire our youngest generation to embark on a lifelong love of learning,” continued Koby. “As a parent myself, it’s important that toys are educational and help children through key developmental stages, ensuring that kids aren’t just passive consumers of tech.”

Dough Universe is a set of kits for kids to explore STEM concepts in a playful way. It uses a traditional play pattern, molding Play Dough, in a more exciting (and educational) way. The system is complete with educational reading materials on an app. This product is relevant to my research because it demonstrates a way to innovate on existing toys or products in a way that is developmentally beneficial for kids.
