EZ Shave Leg Razor – Science & Tech Design Conjecture

The EZ Shave Leg Razor rethinks how a razor should look. It places the handle of the razor to the side of the blades, allowing for women to hold this razor in a comfortable, powerful position. By placing the handle to the side, users can grip the handle with a closed fist. While doing this, their wrist is in a natural, unflexed position where they can leverage the use of stronger joints and muscles to pull the razor up their leg.

This razor also features a wide, ergonomic gel handle. The width of the handle makes it easier for a firm, closed-fist grip while the silicone textured gel over mold acts as a cushion for the hands.

At the front end of the handle, a parting line splits the handle from the detachable razor head. This is where users would detach old razor head portions form the handle and connect new razor heads. To do this, users can cover the razor with a towel and twist the front head slightly and pull the razor head off. Attaching a razor word work similarly—users would insert the razor head and lock it into place.

The razor itself has a swivel range to allow for a close shave. This swivel is made possible due to the hinges that connect the blade portion to the head of the razor. The upper razor portion is made of durable plastic while the four blades are made of steel.  Above the four blades sits a lotion-infused solid shaving cream bar—which eliminates the extra step of applying shaving cream.
