My thoughts on this were that frunk users need to make use of the entire area within the frunk rather than just the bottom. I wanted to allow an option for things to keep dry, which is why the compartment has a flat face to allow for papers, but enough space to put light objects in as well, with a mesh guard to stop some of those heavier objects from rolling out. In addition would be hooks set into the hood liner that could also snap in and out, allowing for things to get hung like clothes, bags or groceries. I started by looking at different overhead storage options and was learning that other than allow for more space on the bottom it also allows for more accessibility and would making getting things easier and faster (Fleximounts 2023). But also that there should be some option for personalization and that giving the S hooks would allow for enough freedom so that people could find many uses for. I was really into the idea of a vent system running air to the frunk and it went along with this idea the best because of some of the uses I thought of foe the hooks. Some of these ideas include what you see in the bottom left, where you could dry wet clothes in space away from the interior and hang bags on them, you could even heat up clothes or a blanket. Another way to use it could be holding up food so that it won’t spill and keeping the food at a desired temperature with the climate control air. I would want to look into how to make it more adjustable or create extra pieces to supply different types carrying styles, so that more people can get creative and find more uses for the options as well.
