Design Conjecture: Biofeedback Seating + Audio Control

One of the big opportunities that I saw within the realm of arts and automobiles had to do with music – people listen to music in their vehicles, to the point where it can have a significant influence on the driving and passenger experience. Additionally, after looking at articles describing the use of biomimicry and biomechanics in vehicle exterior design, I was interested in incorporating these features into the interior of a vehicle.

In this conjecture, there is a two way feedback loop that happens; biofeedback receptors in the seats and steering wheel pick up the current sensations of the driver or passenger, and by examining measurements such as heart rate, body heat, pressure, and position, it communicates with the audio system to suggest potential music for the ride.

As for other features about this, the music suggestions are a setting that can be turned on and off, therefore giving the passengers the choice of picking their own music versus having suggestions. Additionally, the music suggested is categorized with varying beats per minute, and whoever sets up the system will have the option to select genres of their preference. That being said, drivers and passengers will be able to listen to music of their preference, but the tempo of the music will be dependent on the biofeedback received.
