William Nickley is currently an MFA candidate (2020) in design research and development at The Ohio State University. He studies how emerging technology and design can increase youth capacity to engage with social issues facing their communities in order to better understand how design can empower youth to advocate for and enact positive, lasting, social change. William is an industrial designer with a decade of experience in a variety of settings. He is a co-founding board member and active leader of a nonprofit serving disadvantaged populations in the central Ohio region, through which he operationalizes his research.
