Contactless hand sanitizers and anti-microbial fittings were among features already included in the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drisscoll believes co-working spaces like this one will continue to become more common in the future, as companies look to adopt more flexible working models for their staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Threefold Architects has completed Paddington Works, a co-working and events space in London that was designed around wellness principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workspaces are designed to be agile, providing different spaces to suit various activities. There are also a range of health-conscious building services, such as fresh air filtration and adaptive lighting systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a time when many co-working offices are trying to adjust to the changes in work habits prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic, this project offers a model for the future of shared workspaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The air circulation system, which includes anti-viral filtration, is designed to bring 25 per cent more fresh air into the building than is typical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile the lighting system uses intelligent LEDs to adjust the color temperature of the light throughout the day, to suit circadian rhythms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysis<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an example of an indoor, coworking space. The focuses that they dove into were that of the private areas, shared spaces, meeting rooms, and a multi-purpose auditorium. These spanned over two levels of the building. The company, Paddington Works, is a venture of co-working between two separate companies. This space and the many photos that they include gives a really good idea of what smaller to larger co-working spaces can look like.
