Tailgates might be tied closely to the sports they’re in attendance of, but they’re about much more than that. Tailgates are about comraderie and spending time with the people you care about. Good food, drinks, and socializing are what many people would describe as a great day out.

Many vehicle owners use their vehicles for tailgating, as a method of transport and a way to hold onto tailgate related items during the event. My goal with this conjecture was to allow a user’s vehicle to be fully involved in their tailgate, entirely optimized for parties and events. Equipped with a bracket under the hood for holding a TV, build in speakers, and outlets to afford lights, grilling, and other appliances at a quick convenience. This setup is meant to make the tailgating setup easier, and encourage fostering the good community that these parties are well known for.

Reference:

The art of the tailgate

My focus led me to a number of articles about tailgating history, culture, and community.
