When looking at different styles of cars at car shows I couldn’t help but notice that some have body kits on them start to look like cars in cyberpunk concepts. I then started noticing the lighting and how often they are reduced to super thin and bright LED’s which is where the recent trend that Automotive companies have been going down, as mentioned in a another lit review about lights as well as another about the Hyundai with a cyberpunk style. This article talks about an open world game set in a cyberpunk universe called Cyberpunk 2077.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The world challenges traditional views of technology, religion, and governance, and playing through the game, it is impossible not to consider how realistic the world of Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>is compared to our modern society.”(Global Data 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Although cyberpunk is a science fiction sub-genre that brings together advanced, futuristic technology in a dystopian world, the familiarity of its cultural movements\u2014like entertainment, design, gaming, architecture, fashion, and modern technology\u2014suggest that we\u2019re already living in a cyberpunk universe.”(Global Data Thematic Intelligence 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Within the Cyberpunk<\/em> universe, style is a vital part of identity. In Night City\u2014a fictional city located on the border between North and South California and a modern multicultural metropolis of the 21st century, overrun by corporations, corruption, organized crime, and gang violence\u2014citizens can subscribe to one of the four primary fashion styles. These fashion styles are style-focused Kitsch\u2014the lingua franca of the street, colorful and eye-catching; function-heavy Entropism; slick and classy Neomilitarism; and the heavily fancy Neokitsch.”(Global Data Thematic Intelligence 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“However, Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> players will be pleased to know that this smart fashion already exists, with clothes that integrate with technology. “Levi\u2019s Commuter\u2019s Jacket is a collaboration between Levi\u2019s and Google that allows consumers to connect their smartphone via Bluetooth, screen phone calls, control music volume, and notify you when a rideshare is nearby.”(Global Data Thematic Intelligence 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although cyberpunk in general fantasies a darker tone to it I believe that our would is headed to a more realistic and neutral version of cyberpunk since it seems to be where the styles and designs are heading. and some companies may even be able to jump ahead if they design further ahead with cyberpunk-like styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
