Cage The Elephant <\/em>Tour Excerpt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n “Cage The Elephant, the GRAMMY\u00ae Award winning rock band mark their return and announce both the release of their forthcoming sixth studio album, Neon Pill (May 17, RCA Records) and their 45-date North American summer tour. The new album finds the Kentucky-bred six piece\u2014brothers Matthew Shultz [vocals] and Brad Shultz [guitar], Daniel Tichenor [bass], Jared Champion [drums], Nick Bockrath [lead guitar], and Matthan Minster [guitar, keys, backing vocals]\u2014 forging new musical ground, while maintaining their uncompromising creativity and wildly cathartic performances. \u201cTo me, Neon Pill is the first record where we were consistently uninfluenced, and I mean that in a positive way,\u201d observes Matthew. \u201cEverything is undoubtedly expressed through having settled into finding our own voice. The venue allowed closed water bottles, and many drinks and food options were available. The set up was a large turf area where you could bring blankets or low chairs. After the concert, many people left their waste behind. In fact, when I was grabbing my own bottle of water, my friend said something along the lines of \u201cyou should just leave it, the trash cans will be full and the event staff will get it.\u201d It was interesting as I saw it as my own responsibility, but a majority of others saw it as someone else\u2019s responsibility. This is important for my capstone project as figuring out what makes people feel responsible for their own litter is vital in thinking of how to design for less waste in parks.
