The other is an Energy Advancement and Innovation Center for a technology commercialization partnership with energy management company Engie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think both of these (projects) \u2026 will end up being one of the biggest things done in the city or on a university campus,\u201d said Alex Fischer, the committee&#8217;s chairman. \u201cIt could be one of the biggest developments (of its kind) in the Midwest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ohio State is planning a massive innovation district on west campus that could see 12 million square feet of new development.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The current plans call for massive transformation of The Ohio State University. The focus on West Campus is the Innovation District, which calls for an additional 1\/3 increase in total building square footage of the entire campus.
