Inspired by the eye lie detector, it is based on the principle that humans cannot control the size of the pupil through subjective consciousness. The size of the pupil usually indicates different emotional states, such as anger. Anything that activates the heartbeat will cause the pupil to dilate.

Conjecture:
The game accepts data imports from electronic camera. After data analysis, it draws conclusions about the player’s current mood. Based on this, the game system adapts to change the difficulty of the level.
I plan to design an endless 2D jumping game like Subway Surfers. In this game, the player plays as Jake, a child, to evade the police and hound, and travel through three railway tracks where trains will be coming. Players have to dodge obstacles and police at the same time, as much as possible to get gold coins. As the game progresses, the player’s running speed will get faster and faster, and the number of obstacles will increase. However, the player is going to get tired in the game, and if the game continues to grow at a pace that doesn’t change, the player may give up because the levels are too difficult to see the possibility of improving their performance.

[Subway Surfers]

In my design, all obstacles are randomly generated. The player’s goal is to pick up the rocket bag on the ground and jump. During the jumping process, there may be some obstacles to block the player, and the player can destroy these obstacles by attacking them. Players can gain coins in the game, collecting coins to buy stronger rocket bags. During the game, the system can record the size of the player’s pupils through the camera. Through the pupil size to analyze the player’s current emotional state. This can adjust the adaptive game difficulty for different players: for example, when players feel angry because the level is too difficult; or, when players feel tired of staring at the phone screen for a long time, replace the level with some more calm colors to let the player’s eyes relax. To achieve the purpose of attracting more groups of players to continue the challenge.

[2D Endless Game Conjecture]

Keywords: Pupil, Pupillometry, Endless Game

The game detects the size of the player’s iris during the play experience through electronic cameras on computers, cell phones, and other devices.
