Believe it or not, augmented reality tech dates back to the 60s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While it might not have had all of the bells and whistles we\u2019ve come to expect today, you have to start somewhere, right? In this article, we\u2019ll look back on the history of augmented reality to better understand its potential future impact<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first thing that caught my attention in this brief history of AR is that the sports industry has been using AR since 1998. It is my understanding that when AR was invented, it was mainly used in the lab, until its real-world application for training<\/strong> purposes in the US Air Force. It is important for me to know AR’s history and what it was initially created for.
